Mitch Dorr and Goodyear hit the off-road racing jackpot

The first "Sportsman King of Off-Road Racing" has been crowned. Mitch Dorr, Rockford, Ill., claimed the title at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway last weekend for his team and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., becoming the first off-road racer in history to win the Mole Lake Casino & Lodge Stock Truck Silver Cup Race.

With the sun high in the sky over the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex here in Lake Elsinore, Calif., a refreshing ocean breeze began to blow as short course off-road racing’s best drivers took to the track for qualifying for Round 5 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series presented by Geico Powersports on June 27.
